Sunday, December 10th, the 2nd Sunday of Advent.
The prophet Isaiah told us “The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light.” And people throughout many centuries now have been blessed to see God’s greatest light of Jesus Christ, shine in their lives. We also sometimes walk in darkness and we also seek to see more and more of Jesus both in our own lives and in our world.
This week, we will light two Advent candles for Hope and Peace praying to increase God’s light among us.
“O Lord, when you came to earth, you taught people the importance of being peace-makers and peace-keepers. You have been called the Prince of Peace, for only in you is everlasting peace found. Come into our hearts, Lord Jesus, for we have need of thee. Amen.”
