As Christmas draws near, we are reminded that the most important preparation is not found in schedules or decorations, but in our openness to God’s work among us. We prepare by listening for God’s voice, by choosing kindness over haste, and by making space for grace in our daily lives.
In these days of waiting, we hold fast to the promise of Scripture:
“Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.” (Luke 3:4)
As we prepare to welcome the Christ child, may we reflect on how we can live as people shaped by hope, guided by peace, and called to love our neighbors near and far. May this season ready our hearts to receive the miracle of Emmanuel, God with us.
