On the Day of Pentecost, we celebrate God’s gift of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit that draws us together as one people, helps us understand what God is doing in the world, and empowers us to proclaim through word and action God’s reconciling love through Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 1:10)
Without the Spirit, the church withers, but with the gift of the Holy Spirit, all things are possible. Pentecost reminds us that the Church is alive, renewed, and sent into the world to serve with compassion, hope, and grace. As the climax of the Great Fifty Days of Easter, Pentecost celebrates the Spirit poured out upon the body of Christ, the Church.
We invite you to join us for worship this Sunday at 11:00am at Lebanon Presbyterian Church, as Tracy McGlothlin leads our worship service and we celebrate the power, presence, and promise of the Holy Spirit together. All are welcome here.
