Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner?
Join us this Sunday at 11:00 a.m. at Lebanon Presbyterian Church as Rev. Thomas Quickel leads our worship service to celebrate Holy Communion and to explore the story of Matthew’s dinner with Jesus (Matthew 9:9-13).
When Jesus accepted Matthew’s invitation to dinner, He shocked the religious leaders by sharing a table with tax collectors and sinners. But Jesus’ response reveals the heart of His mission: “I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.” Jesus came to seek, welcome, forgive, and restore those who know they need Him.
That good news is just as important today as it was then. In a world filled with division, loneliness, and brokenness, Jesus still invites people to His table, not because we have it all together, but because His grace meets us where we are.
Come discover what Matthew’s dinner teaches us about why Jesus came and why His invitation still matters today.
Ours is not a Presbyterian table, for it is the Lord’s table, and all are welcome here.
