After Peter denied Jesus three times, their relationship could have been defined by failure and regret. Instead, the risen Christ meets Peter by the shore, shares a meal with him, and gently restores him. Three times Jesus asks, “Do you love me?” and each time gives Peter a renewed calling: “Feed my sheep.”
Peter’s story shows us what reconciliation can look like: grace that faces what has happened, restores relationships, and opens the way to a new beginning.
